RE: Nonprofit Volunteer Opportunity Postings
As you may remember, since the May 2016 closure of the Volunteer Center of the East Bay, the Contra Costa Crisis Center has maintained the Nonprofit Volunteer Opportunity Postings function of their website which has been available these past six months via the Contra Costa Crisis Center’s website. As planned, that specific function of that website will be taken down at the end of 2016. The final day for the Nonprofit Volunteer Opportunity Postings website function will be 12.31.16 and this communication is to remind those who may depend upon it for volunteer recruitment and placement, to seek other systems. Publicly available options for volunteer matching you might consider include:

Craigslist: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/sfc/vol

***Please see this important notice concerning Volunteer Matching***
We sincerely appreciate the support VCEB has received from the public and nonprofits throughout the East Bay for over sixty years. VCEB has closed. PLEASE NOTE: Several programs, including Share the Spirit and Corporate Caring Volunteer Week have a new home at the Contra Costa Crisis Center. The VCEB website will remain active in the short term, nonprofits and volunteers will still be able to access the site, and projects for Corporate Caring Volunteer Week should still be submitted through the site. Information will be posted here as it becomes available. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through the details.
